Me and my girlfriend started renting an apartment in august. My girlfriend had a few weeks left of her job a city over and due to that my girlfriend needed a car. Since she worked late evenings it would be almost impossible for her finding a parkingspace close our apartment at ~9pm since all parkingspaces would be filled at -4:30pm. We both decided to pay 90$/month for the parking garage under our apartment.

After a few weeks my girlfriend started working closer to our home and the need for a car dissapeared. The lease wasnt up on the parkingspace so we decided to use it as a reserve parkingspace incase friends or family came over. Since the parkingspace is usually empty, people has started parking in our space. We usually call parking security and they put a fine one the car.

This time i chose to be nice, a blacked out BMW was parked in our space and i found out who owned it. I called them with the intention of asking them to move the car politely. The owner of the car was a 30 year old man, i rang him up and he picked up the phone.... silence... he was silent for a solid 5 seconds before i hesitantly said "hello?"

He responded: -"Who is it?" In an annoyed voice -"Hello my name is Dronectus" -"Dronectus who? From what company" -"Oh, i'm not from a company, i just live in the same appartment complex as you and was wonde..." -"Go the away" and then he hung up the phone I then called parking security and 10 minutes later there was a 80$ fine on his car. I tried calling him again to tell him that there was a fine on his car and a tow truck would be there to pick it up later that evening if he didn't move the c

debouwvakker • 2d Also, find out what company he's from so you know never to have anything to do with it. 290 HomeschoolingDad • 2d From u/Dronectus's frequent use of parkingspace as a single word, I'm guessing German might be his native language, in which case I'm wondering if maybe the company in question is the Stasi. Yes, I know they "no longer exist". Just like the KGB "no longer exists". 01 Dronectus OP • 2d ... 4213 Close, I'm Swedish Du bist auf dem Holzweg ... 238

roberestarkk • 2d I do that pause thing too when I pick up a call from an unknown number! Like 99% of the calls I get are from telemarketers (I'm not very social via telephone), so that initial pause weeds out the auto-diallers (and the impatient telemarketers) like a treat! Though I wouldn't wait more than a second or two before speaking myself, as that's usually all it takes. The downside is that it does make the first call I answer from people I have an actual connection to (before I have the

ElephantOnTheYard • 1d Bravo! slow clapping I live in a condo with assigned parking spaces. Other than the unknowing DoorDasher or scheduled maintenance worker, DO NOT PARK IN MY SPACE! As much as we pay in HOA fees, it is one of the very few amenities we have in our community. I'm nice enough to knock on doors to ask who's visitor it is and they will come move the vehicle. I'm waiting for the day to call the tow company- even have their number in my contacts list!
